Ingredients:
500g garoupa fillet (cut into pieces)
Seasonings:
1teaspoon cooking oil
1 teaspoon corn flour
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt to taste
Sauce:
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic (chopped)
5 ginger (sliced)
1 teaspoon Maggi seasoning sauce
1 stalk scallions (cut into 2-inch lengths)
A dash white pepper powder
4 tablespoons water
Method:
1) Rinse and clean the fish, cut into slices (approximately 50g per piece) and set aside.
2) Combine the seasonings, add in the garoupa fillet and marinade for 10 minutes.
3) Heat up the wok, pour in 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Add in garlic, ginger and saute until golden brown. Pour in the remaining ingredients and cook until boil, set aside.
4) Steam the fish over high heat for about 8 minutes.
5) Dish out and pour the sauce on top of the steamed fish and serve immediately.
