Ingredients:
Olive oil 90 ml (3 fl oz / 3/8 cup)
Garlic 1 head, peeled and chopped
Prawns (shrimps) 500 g (1 lb 1 1/2 oz) medium-size, peeled and deveined, with tails left intact
Bird's eye chillies 3, crushed, or use 1 tsp chilli flakes
Tomato paste 1 Tbsp
Paprika 1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp
Dry white wine (optional) 2 Tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Ground black pepper 11/2 tsp
Method:
1. In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat and fry garlic until golden brown.
2. Add prawns and increase heat to medium-high. Stir-fry until prawns turn pink. Add remaining ingredients and toss to mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. If desired, lightly grease a hot plate with a little oil and heat over an open flame. Transfer prawns to hot plate and serve immediately.
