Ingredients:
15-20 large prawns, slit the back
Sauce:
1 clove garlic, chopped
5-6 bird’s eye chilly, sliced
3 tablespoons light soya sauce or to taste
1 teaspoon dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon honey
½ teaspoon sesame oil
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Bamboo skewers
Cooking oil
Method:
1. Using a sharp knife, slit the back of the prawns and de-vein.
2. In a large bowl, combine sauce ingredients and toss in the prawns. Marinade for 30 minutes. Using bamboo skewers, thread one marinated prawn onto each skewer.
3. Heat oven to 220ْC and place prawns onto a greased tray and pour over marinade. Grill for 10 minutes, turning over prawns once. To cook prawns on a griddle, heat griddle with some oil, add the prawns and baste with the marinade. Turn over once. Once prawns are cooked through, serve immediately.
